MACHINA HUMANA
ELECTRIC VIOLIN CONCERTO

CAELI
FOR SYMPHONIC ORCHESTRA

Machina Humana is an ode to the most intricate machine ever to exist: the human being. Conceived in the form of a conceptual album, the concerto unfolds through four movements - each with its own character and internal world, yet all interconnected through a common thematic and musical language. At its core lies the tension and consonance between flesh and spirit, instinct and imagination - a biological machine animated by something intangible.
The soloist stands at the crossroads of this duality, the violin becoming an extension of the body, a prosthetic limb of expression, transforming the performer into a kind of human-cyborg. Surrounding them, the orchestra breathes and pulses like the most intricate organism in music—many humans functioning as one body, alive with intention and emotion. Each movement explores a different aspect of human existence, offering a philosophical reflection on what it means to be human.

"Las olas,
me persiguen hasta mis sueños,
y se arrastran a mi realidad.
¿Cómo podré salir a la superficie?"
"Waves,
chase me into my dreams,
and crawl into my reality.
How will I reach the surface?"
